- Strong customer service mentality.
- Conduct a minimum of 4 professional sales presentations or demonstrations of company products and services per week while onsite at customer locations.
- Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
- Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue.
- Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within the client base.
- Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company positively.
- Overcome objections of prospective customers.
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, over price.
- Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation.
- Conduct information-only presentations, such as seminars, trade show demonstrations, and other efforts as needed.
- Establish front-line assessment of market conditions and advise management and marketing staff of findings.
- Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other industry research.
- May perform other duties as required by business needs.
- Marine experience.
- 3 years of outside sales experience.
- Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management preferred.
- Demonstrated success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision-makers.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance.
- Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Exceptional verbal communication, listening, and presentation skills.
- High energy with a positive attitude, integrity, and strong work ethic.
- Willing to face complex issues head-on and work through challenges to build a stronger organization.
- Be willing to work one week on the production line to deeply learn about the product.
- Our Sales Team works a full week, Monday through Friday with some entertainment and shows on nights and weekends.
- Competitive Wages Commission with no caps.
